About Us

Retail Image Consulting (RIC) was founded by Susan V. Berry in July, 1999. Prior to that Susan spent fifteen years managing the Retail Image Center for Management Horizons, retail research arm of the PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting firm. Susan Berry’s retail images have been used extensively to convey trends, insights and points of view in leading industry news publications, academic presentations and textbooks, as well as many industry related shows and conventions. Susan’s specific knowledge of retail formats coupled with photographic expertise give her the advantage of knowing what is significant to capture within the retail environment.

Currently the RIC database contains well over 20,000 US and international retail images taken over the last five years. The collection includes flagship stores, shopping centers, malls, new concepts/prototypes, Internet kiosks in bricks and mortar stores and more. Images are high quality jpeg files suitable for booths, print and electronic presentations and may be sent to clients via e-mail or on custom CD’s.

Clients and subscribers include advertising agencies, publishers, retail design companies, consulting firms and leading retailers around the world.
